NON TECHNICAL EVENTS

MOCK CID

DESCRIPTION:

             An interesting on-campus murder story will be created . Contains multiple participating teams.Clues will be left for tracing back to the murder on the campus. The clues will lead to witnesses (volunteers will be role played) and the one who finds out the real murderer first wins!

RULES:

* 3 participants in a group ..
*All participants will be assembled in the given venue .we will give one case at a time .when time starts participants have to discuss among them nd search for clues which will be kept inside the clg campus. 
*Time to find one case is 20 mins
*No one should use mobile or internet .
*4 cases or 3 cases will be given..who finds maximum murder will get placed first or which ever team First finds out the real murder will be placed first
*Participants should come to the respective hall after searching or finding the case solution

ART AND CRAFT COMPETITION

*  This event focuses on creating arts (paper folding-origami, drawing)
*   Since this is event is based on art the event will be judged on creativity of the participant

(Round 1)

  •  Drawing and painting

  • Difficulty level - Easy

  • The topic for this round is -   ENGINEERING

  • The participants need to draw an apt painting for the topic


(Round 2)

  • ✂Crafting and Origami

  • Difficulty level- Hard

  • The topic for this round is-    Today's technology

  • The participants are required to make an paper art or an origami which adheres to the topic for mentioned

  • The participants are required to bring their own materials for the event
     

SHORT FILMS

Description :

           Short Film is a very common event. When we were thinking of how to bring up twists and turns into this event, we got an idea! The twist was to make this non-technical event into a technical event. We want participants to participate in this non-technical short film event which has technical film topics. The topics are Cyber Security, Save Water & Electricity and Avoid Plastic. Choose a category of your own and come up with a short film of not more than 10 minutes duration. You are free to film it in any language provided the subtitles are present.

Requirements :  1. All requirements mentioned above.

                           2. Last Date of Submission of Short Films : APRIL 20, 2019

BEG, BARROW, STEaL

Description :

             A crazy game and the only game where you are free to do all sorts of cheating. A list will be given to you. The list may have anything like pencil, pen, etc. (Not so easy things though). All that you have to do is to bring those things within the allotted time by hook or by crook. You are free to beg, borrow or steal or do whatever you want to do. The first round ends with all this tension wherein the second round begins with creativity. With all the things that you have, you have to come up with something  creative, something like an art. The best team shall win !

Requirements :  1. First Round - Spontaneity, Habit of Cheating, Time Management

                           2. Second Round – Creativity

                           3. Both Rounds – Team of 3 members

Golgappa Challenge

Description:

Game has 3 rounds.

  • First round is to enact the task

  • Second round is to play a game ropes and rings(semi final)

  • Third round will be playes by five finalists, which is eating the max no. of golgappas in the given time.

Rules:

  • Registered participants will be playing the game

  • All of them will be assembled in the given venue.we will have 2 boxes 1 includes all the participants names and the other one with tasks they are going to enact.we will be picking the participant name and they have to come and pick the chit from 2 box and should enact the task in it.

  • Best of 10 performers will be declared to play the semi finals ,they can be divided into two groups and each grp should play a game ropes and rings and it depends on time.The group which completes the game in min time will be the finalists.

  • Those five finalists are individually given with the golgappas.In the span of 100 sec,the parcipant who eats the max no. of golgappas,first and second places will be the winners of the challenge

BLIND ART

Description:

  • Hold your brush and put the blinds on.

  • It is a team event consisting of two members, where in one member will be blind folded and the other will be handcuffed.

  • The Handcuffed member will be given a picture, he has to guide the blindfolded member to draw or paint the picture.

Rules:

  • ​One team consists of two members each.

  • The blindfolded participant will not be allowed to see and the other partner will be handcuffed and he/she will explain the situation to the blindfolded partner to draw the given image.

  • The handcuffed partner may ONLY say lines, directions, and shapes.

STORY TELLING

  1. The participants shall deliver the stories not more than 10 minutes.

  2. The participants will be decreased the point if deliver the story less than 7 minutes.  The participant should not make a mistake when they performed because the duration will keep running, we do not compromise to start all over again.

  3. A brief introduction identifying author, title and intended audience is required. 

  4. The participants may stand up and move or sit in the chair while delivering their story. 

  5. Background music is allowed and consists of not more than 30% of the whole performance. 

  6. Notes are not permitted. 

  7. Participants are allowed to add proper improvisations. 

  8. A 30 second additional period is allowed, extending time will cause one point deduction. 

  9. This round will automatically decide the winner of the competition 

  10. Announcement of Contest winners is final unless the list of winners is announced incorrectly, in which case the chief judge or Committee may immediately interrupt to correct the error.
